Job description – responsibilities, required work experience skill and education

We are looking for a Manual Osteopath Therapist that has graduated from a Canadian or equivalent collage with a DOMP or DO in manual osteopathy and is in good standing with one or more recognized association in the province of Alberta. Proof of diploma will be requested. The current practitioner is leaving the province and needs suitable candidate to take over fully established practice volume.  A mentorship and transition period are welcomed to maintain patient base. The replacement needs to be comfortable treating patients of all ages with various athletic and function abilities.

Responsibilities include providing osteopathic treatment to patients on an appointment basis. Skills should include an extensive knowledge of manual osteopathic techniques including muscle energy and soft tissue techniques, TMJ treatment, visceral and craniosacral therapy. Initial assessments and management of acute and chronic conditions are essential in order to provide individualized care. When appropriate, at home guidance, support and proper lifestyle management should be provided to patients.

Full-time reception and administrative support will be provided. You will benefit from inter- referrals between other disciplines in the clinic. The necessary equipment and PPE will be provided in order for you to carry out your practice. Personalized clinic designed business cards will be provided.

Candidates must be able to work well with a team, demonstrate compassion and professionalism while interacting with patients and staff. Work experience is an asset.

A virtual preliminary interview is welcome but a hands-on in person interview is required to successfully secure position.

Salary: Competitive percentage.

 

Covid measures: Central Health Chiropractic and Wellness follows all regulated Covid measures as outlined by AHS. Practitioner will be responsible for following Covid measure set forth by their association.  PPE will be provided.  Must be able to demonstrate appropriate Covid 19 cleaning, sanitization, mask donning techniques as part of interview. Practitioner will be required to follow the COVID procedures set out by the chiropractic association of Alberta and AHS.
