Part Time or Full Time Osteopath for Sunshine Physiotherapy

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, focusing on holistic treatment approaches to enhance the well-being of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in both acute care and home care settings. The Osteopath will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

We are seeking a Part-time or Full-time (Percentage-Based Split Only) Osteopath at Sunshine Physiotherapy and Sports Rehabilitation in Cochrane. We are an established (2005) and busy clinic that recently expanded, and we are looking to expand our offerings to our community. We hope to have someone join our team who has similar enthusiasm and energy for helping others and our community.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health and medical histories.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Perform osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Jane or similar electronic health record systems.
• Engage in data collection and research activities to support evidence-based practice.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and preventive care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in osteopathy and related fields.

Qualifications:

– Must be in good standing with their profession
– Must have their own professional liability insurance
– Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
– Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
– Knowledge of electronic health record systems like Jane is an asset but not required.
